Investigators in Seward County Thursday afternoon released the name of a 10-year-old boy who was killed Wednesday in what is being ruled an accidental shooting.

The boy, who was from Alabama, is identified as Michael Tunnell III. He and his family are from McCalla, Alabama.

The Seward County Sheriff's Department says it will not release the name of the 13-year-old boy who shot Tunnell. That young man is from Oklahoma.

Investigators say the older boy was showing his dad's semi-automatic pistol to the younger boy when the gun went off fatally wounding the younger boy.

The shooting happened in an RV at a park near Milford, Nebraska. Fathers for both boys are employed on a nearby long-term construction project.
