A 10-year-old boy from Alabama was accidentally shot and killed Wednesday afternoon near Milford, Nebraska, 24 miles west of Lincoln.

Authorities say a 13-year-old boy from Oklahoma accidently shot the 10-year-old in the torso. The older boy had been showing the victim his father's gun in their RV in a park north of town when it went off around 1:45 p.m.

The 13-year-old reportedly got help from a neighbor and the two performed CPR until emergency crews arrived. The 10-year-old was pronounced dead at 2:36 p.m. at the Seward Hospital. The 13-year-old was not hurt and was not taken into custody.
