The Nebraska Humane Society gets all sorts of pets for a variety of reasons. They try to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Sometimes that means buddying pets up so they have some company.

The Nebraska Humane Society tries to put dogs together because some of them are very stressed from being alone in the adoption kennels. The Humane Society provides kennels that are big, easy to clean and comfortable with bedding and toys inside.

However, a kennel is still a kennel -- with noise and scents of hundreds of other dogs. It can be overwhelming for sensitive canines. So the Nebraska Humane Society tries to buddy up dogs who may feel depressed and lonely.
