Omaha Fire crews responded to an apartment fire Saturday morning. They say an electrical problem is to blame.

Fire crews arrived at Mapleview Apartments near 104th and Maple around 11 a.m. Saturday. The fire was quickly put out.

Firefighters say the cause appears to be an over-heated security light. One apartment unit was damaged, but it could have been much worse.

Dan Forehead with the Omaha Fire Department says, "we got real lucky here. If we would have had a real stiff south breeze, it would have got up in that attic and we would had a whole different story."

The damage is estimated at $25,000. No one was living in the unit at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
