Troubled Beatrice Center Loses Director
The troubled Beatrice State Developmental Center is officially without a director.
Earlier this month, the director of the Department of Health and Human Services' Division of Developmental Disabilities, John Wyvill, announced his resignation.
Wyvill's resignation is effective Thursday.
He began his duties less than two years ago.
The Beatrice center is home to people with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.
Hundreds of cases of alleged abuse and neglect have been reported there in recent years.
