Omaha, Lincoln Increase Populations
Omaha and Lincoln have both increased in population according to 2008 population estimates released July 1, 2009 by the Census Bureau. Omaha is now ranked as the 40th largest city in the country when population is measured within actual city limits.

Omaha and Lincoln have both increased in population according to 2008 population estimates released July 1, 2009 by the Census Bureau. Omaha is now ranked as the 40th largest city in the country when population is measured within actual city limits.

Omaha's population is pegged at 438,646. When Metro areas around the country are measured by total population, Omaha is ranked 60th in the country.

Lincoln's new population estimate is 251,624. This is the first time Nebraska's Capital City has passed the quarter million mark.
