Rescue crews have resumed the search for a 19-year-old who went missing during a boat trip Saturday.

The Burt County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call around six o'clock Saturday evening. Someone reported that a man had jumped into the Missouri River (seven miles south of Decatur) and never resurfaced.

Witnesses tell investigators the boat was tied to a sandbar when 19-year-old Christopher Dedinsky jumped from the bank into the river. At the time, he was with friends.

Deputies searched the area Saturday and Sunday, but were unsuccessful in finding Dedinsky.
