The weather was a great incentive to get outside Sunday . For many it was a chance for a little golf. But for four golfers they had an even bigger incentive than the weather and brought with them greater aspirations than trying to squeeze in a round.

Joe Sutter and his friends wasted no time teeing off at Quarry Oaks Sunday morning. "Haven't lost a ball yet so it's good day," says Sutter.

They took few practices swings, "Not one yet and not planning on one," says Craig Roorda. And it was hit when ready. "The swing has been a little off but we'll see if we can get it back by the end of the day."

Luckily for Roorda he will have all day. They intend to play one hundred holes, that's over 5 rounds, walking the entire way "We've just finished 45 right now so we're feeling pretty good," says Roorda.

They are playing for twelve year old Jessica Nuss. The Sutton native has battled cystic fibrosis since birth, leading to large medical bills. Sutter came up with an idea to help send her and her family on a vacation. "We talked about just doing something fun for somebody in a way to raise money and make a difference," says Sutter.

100 holes in a day may sound like a long shot but with a little help and some well struck shots they are taking aim. "We weren’t really sure it could be done but they started doing the calculations on it, 9 minutes a hole, 36 miles, so then it's I think it's possible, I think it's possible,” says Craig’s wife Jill.

"It was a fun thing for us to do but I think the donations the people have made have been real important to us and it's real humbling to see what they've done, come out and support four guys who are trying to play some golf" says Roorda.

The foursome's goal is to raise 6-thousand, so far they raised just over 49-hundred. The group received pledges for each hole played. For more information on helping Jessica Nuss , you can log onto the webpage. www.firstgiving.com/walk100holes
