An 85-year-old Nebraska man drowned after being thrown from his riding lawnmower at his home near Cedar Bluffs.

Saunders County Sheriff's deputy Bob Thorson, says the body of Albert Kavan Sr. was found by his wife Thursday night.

It appears Kavan was mowing his yard just before 8 o'clock when the mower overturned on an embankment. Kavan was thrown from the mower into some nearby water, where he drowned.
