Omaha Police may have been tipped off to a Heartland man's alleged possession of marijuana because of his clothing.

According to the police report, the suspect was driving in the area of 30th and Binney in the late evening hours of Saturday, June 20th, with one headlight out.

When officers pulled the green 1977 Chevy Impala over they noticed a strong fruity odor coming from the vehicle. The driver, according to police was wearing marijuana print jeans, and a shirt with marijuana plants and dollars signs all over it.

Officers decided to give the driver a warning for the broken headlight, then asked him if he had sprayed a heavily fruit scent to cover the smell of marijuana. The driver said he had not.

When officers asked for consent to search the vehicle the driver agreed.

Thirty year old Jesse Smith was cited for possession of marijuana, less than an ounce after officers say they found a small amount of the drug in the space between the driver's seat and center console.
