Some might consider Plattsmouth a river town, but nobody expected to see a boat rolling through town on Monday.

Police Chief Brian Paulsen said several streets had to be blocked off for the passage of a 65-foot boat being driven on a trailer en route to the Missouri River at Casteway Pointe.

The boat now sits on the eastern edge of town, waiting for a large crane expected to arrive later this week to hoist the vessel into the river.
