An accident in southwest Iowa killed an Emerson man on Saturday night.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department said 38-year-old Michael Adkisson lost control of his SUV on 200th Street between Emerson and Red Oak. The vehicle went off the road, crossed back over the road and rolled several times into a ditch.

Adkisson was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies said he was wearing a seat belt.
