Omaha police ticketed three teenagers Sunday after one of them accidentally ran over another with a minivan. Police say two of the boys had been riding on the hood.

The accident happened just north of Zorinsky Lake at 165th Avenue and Hascall.

Fifteen-year-olds Brad Hobbs and Andrew Ritchie were riding on the van while 16-year-old Samuel Kane was driving. Kane stopped suddenly, throwing the other boys off the car and then running over Hobbs.

Hobbs was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center with serious injuries. He is expected to be okay. Ritchie was not injured.
