Target shoplifter caught on surveilance camera

A young man has been seen stealing high-dollar electronics at Omaha-area Target Stores. His method is simple. He walks out with the goods.

Omaha police have released surveillance pictures of the man leaving the stores. He typically selects two or three expensive items such as Blu-Ray players and LCD monitors. He places them in a shopping cart and parks it near an exit door.

He leaves the store and drives his vehicle into the fire lane. After parking the car, he walks in to get the cart he left inside. The entire theft took six minutes or less.

The unidentified man has driven either a purple Dodge Stratus or a gold Chevy Cavalier while committing the crimes. In three incidents, he has either worn a black and gray windbreaker with a brown knit cap, khaki pants and a blue sweatshirt or he has been wearing a green and yellow T-shirt with a long sleeve white T-shirt underneath.

The crimes happened between March 24 & April 21, 2009. If you can help identify him, call Omaha police at 402-444-7867, log onto omahacrimestoppers.net, or text OPD and your tip to 274637 (CRIMES). An anonymous tip could be worth up to $1,000.
