A Lincoln police officer has been removed from street patrol duties after being arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
Jennifer Schnekel was arrested Friday after police observed her vehicle being driven erratically at about 2:15 in the morning.
Police Chief Tom Casady said Schnekel's blood-alcohol content tested well over the legal limit.
In addition to possible criminal prosecution and penalties, Schnekel could face professional sanctions, including suspension without pay.
