Four more suspects have been arrested in the murder earlier this month of an Elkhorn man, including his widow.
On April 5th, police found Brian Carson's body in the trunk of his car. Autopsy results showed he died of blunt force trauma.
Three arrests quickly followed, including Carson's 19-year-old son, Ryan Carson, charged with second-degree murder. Nineteen-year-old Nicole Walker was charged as an accessory to a felony and 22-year old Jeffrey Hill was also charged as an accessory to a felony.
Five days later came a fourth arrest, 16-year-old Josh Dornacker was also charged as an accessory.
"Young men from Mississippi who are being brought back and the mother and a 16-year old female have been booked here," Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said Wednesday.
The mother is Brian Carson's widow, 41-year old Teresa Carson. She is charged as an accessory to a felony. The 16-year-old girl is charged with accessory and conspiracy to commit murder.
The two young men are 17-year-old Ryan King and 16-year-old Colton Novascone, both charged with conspiracy to commit murder. They live in Mississippi, the same state where Ryan Carson worked and lived.
"They came up here with him that Friday night of the weekend of the homicide with an agreement to help him commit the homicide," explained Kleine.
He said the two were in the house when the murder occurred. "Very troubling, disturbing when you have young people involved and there's a family relationship that's very unusual I guess, and disturbing."
Like the details of a violent relationship between father and son and that Walker first dated Ryan Carson and then dated his still-married father and that Brian Carson was soon to appear in court on a domestic violence charge against wife Teresa.
Court documents indicated he allegedly hit Teresa after she accused him of sleeping with Walker. "There were very strong feelings by certain people with regards to the deceased and there was obviously a plot that involved killing him," said Kleine.
Kleine said Teresa Carson and the 16-year-old girl will be officially charged on Thursday. At that time, the 16-year-old's name will be released.
King and Novascone waived extradition and will be brought from Mississippi to Nebraska.
