Omaha Students Go Out To Ballpark
Cox Communications is taking more than 10,000 Omaha elementary students out to the ballgame. It's the annual Home Run for Youth Day.

Cox Communications is taking more than 10,000 Omaha elementary students out to the ballgame. It's the annual Home Run for Youth Day.

Students from 70 different schools packed the stadium for the Royals game against the Isotopes. For some, this is their first baseball game. Also attending the game, the Bullying Awareness and Prevention Alliance.

"What we've done is invited them out to Rosenblatt to talk to kids about bullying, specifically cyber-bullying, because that is a huge problem now-a-days and one parents don't often think about," said Kristen Gohr with Cox Communications.

New this year, a chance for one lucky classroom to get front row seats. Teachers were asked to submit photos of the Royals' biggest fans. The winner was Mr. Pfeiffer's fifth grade class at Joslyn Elementary School.

Treyton Schwarz was chosen from the class to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
