The westbound lanes of Interstate 80 between Utica and Waco will be closed till sometime Wednesday afternoon for emergency pavement repairs. That is between Lincoln and Grand Island.

Traffic is being detoured off at the Utica exit to U.S. 34 and back on to the interstate at the Waco exit. Signs are up and alerting traffic of the temporary detour.

The closure began this morning at 8:30 and is expected to last about six hours.
