Daniel Kleve, 24, of Hubbard, Nebraska, was sentenced for failing to register as a sex offender.

The Honorable Joseph F. Bataillon sentenced Kleve to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons for 10 months. After his release from prison, Kleve will begin a five-year term of supervised release.

In June of 2007 Kleve was court-martialed for possessing child pornography. He received a sentence of thirty months imprisonment and a bad conduct discharge. Before his discharge from prison he was advised of his obligation to register as a sex offender but refused to sign an acknowledgment.

It was determined as early as August 2008 that Kleve had returned to Hubbard, Nebraska. He failed to register with the State of Nebraska as a sex offender. He was arrested on November 1, 2008, after a standoff with law enforcement.
