Hidden Camera Discovery

A Craigslist ad for massage services leads to prostitution arrests and a surprise discovery.

An Omaha police report states that an undercover officer was offered sex for $200 at a south Omaha home. Two women were arrested for solicitation, offering massages without a license and keeping a house of prostitution.

Omaha City Prosecutor Marty Conboy says during the bust officers discovered a hidden camera. Conboy says, “Police did find a video recording device and hidden camera but did not find evidence of any recordings.”

The arrest report states officers seized notebooks, a computer disk and Craigslist ad. Conboy says, “At this point we’re not certain that there were incidents of unlawful intrusion which is to say people were recorded in a state of undress without their knowledge or consent.”

Conboy says if any customers believe they may have been victimized by a hidden video recording, his office would like to know about it.

One woman has already served 10 days in jail for prostitution while the other who lived in the home has entered a not guilty plea.

Her attorney declined comment but did say he was unaware of any hidden camera equipment discovered during the arrest.
