Students of UNL'S Innocents Society are planning 13 projects in 13 towns.
The group is composed of 13 senior students selected for their service and academic and leadership excellence.
The group says it wants to give people a reason to focus on service for a weekend.
The 1500-mile trip includes stops in Decatur, O"Neill, Valentine, Chadron, Hastings, Fairbury and Tecumseh.
The projects include beautification work on a park and serving meals at a rehabilitation center.
