The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is studying new sites for a Platte River boat ramp near Louisville. Low water levels at the current ramp have closed it for extended periods in past years.
At the last Louisville City Council meeting, the G&P Commission brought a preliminary drawing for a new ramp on the south side of the river.
The entrance would be through the Louisville Lakes State Recreation area and past the Louisville wastewater treatment plant.
The Cassgram reports that according to the (pending) minutes, the city council noted that the Game & Parks has been good to work with in the past and the city will encourage this project
