President Obama, are you listening? That's the slogan for a Friday protest organized by a group upset about spending in the stimulus bill and mortgage bailout.

The Nebraska Tea Party was held at the Douglas County Courthouse Friday morning. Similar protests are also planned for Friday in at least 14 other states, including Kansas City, Washington, D.C., and Chicago.

Nebraska "DontGo" followers say the mortgage bailout will cause tax money to be taken from Nebraska tax payers and property owners and sent to California and Florida to help owners of multiple homes that allegedly do not pay their mortgages. The group says the mandates in the legislation will cost millions of dollars to Nebraska and Omaha residents in local taxes, hence the tea party protest.

The idea was taken from CNBC's Rick Santelli who, on the air, suggested Chicago natives meet for a tea party to show support for free markets and protest bankrupt liberal ideology. To read more about the group, click here.
