A four-year-old boy is safe at home this evening after wandering off from home Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called just after 3 p.m. to a home near 63rd and I.
The boy's mother says she had just laid down for a little down, and then later realized her son was gone.
Police, firefighters, Able 1, and the neighborhood were involved in the search.
The boy's mother wants to remind parents not to let their guard down, even for a moment.
“I'm feeling frustrated at myself, stupid, but I'm glad he's home. I can breathe and everything like that," said Amanda Byrne, the mother.
Crews found the boy after about 30 minutes, playing in a neighbors garage.
