Seniors and those with disabilities often rely on others for transportation, if public transportation isn't available.

Now money is available to help providers cover those costs.

Grants are being offered to private non-profit agencies through the Nebraska Department of Roads.

Only organizations incorporated within the state are eligible to apply.

Public agencies, governmental bodies, and private individuals are not eligible.

Information is being distributed to nursing homes and hosptals as well as area agencies that deal with aging.
