Road-related repairs due to the spring and summer storm damage last year amounted to $189,000, according to Cass County Roads Department Construction Foreman Jerry Fleischman.
It was the second year in a row where county road crews spent considerable time during the construction season on storm damage repair.
2007’s work involved some bigger projects like bridges, said Fleischman, but 2008 involved work at 55 different locations.
It’s anticipated that Federal Emergency Management Agency funds will cover 75% of the total.
