Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Dakota says it's joining Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska in a new health care technology company that is expected to bring jobs to Omaha and Fargo.
A Blues news release says the Fargo-based company will be called CoreLink Administrative Solutions and will process health claims from Nebraska, North Dakota and Wyoming.
The statement from North Dakota's largest insurer says more than 100 former North Dakota Blues employees now work for CoreLink. By the end of the year it's expected to employ about 100 more.
The plan got approval from state insurance departments in late December.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska's employee and retiree group health insurance claims are now being processed on CoreLink's systems, along with claims from North Dakota and Wyoming. As the client base grows, it will likely mean more jobs in Omaha and Fargo.
