A bank was robbed in the town of Carleton, Nebraska Thursday. The Nebraska State Patrol has released pictures that will hopefully lead to an arrest.

Carleton is in Thayer County, which is in southeastern Nebraska.

Investigators say a man entered the Citizen State Bank about 3:15pm Thursday. He demanded money and took off with the cash. He claimed to have a weapon but did not show one.

He fled in a maroon Pontiac Grand Am, which can be seen in a bank surveillance photo.

The bank robber is described as a white male, in his 40’s, with brown hair. He stood about 5’11” and weighed about 220 pounds. Witnesses describe him as having a fat nose and fat fingers.

He was wearing baggy blue jeans, a flannel shirt, a blue t-shirt, and a dark brown heavy winter coat. Anyone with information is asked to call the Thayer County Sheriff at 402-768-6139 or the Nebraska State Patrol at 1-800-422-1494.
