Baseball season is still months away but some Nebraska high school players hit the field right after Christmas.
The Nebraska All-Stars coached by Bellevue University Coach Mike Evans traveled to Puerto Rico for an all-star tournament.
Evans says the team made up of juniors and seniors from Eastern Nebraska finished 1-4.
Evans says all the games were close. Each player had to raise three thousand dollars for expenses but Evans says the experience was worth money.
Not only did players see 90 mile an hour fast balls but 90 degree weather.
Evans hopes this become a yearly trip for high school players in Nebraska.
