Special Deer Season at Boyer Chute
A special muzzleloader antlerless deer hunt will be held at Boyer Chute National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) on Jan. 10-11, 2009.

A special muzzleloader antlerless deer hunt will be held at Boyer Chute National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) on Jan. 10-11, 2009. This will be available only to holders of season choice area 21 permits who obtain a free-access permit from the refuge.

There will be 75 free-access permits available on a first-come, first-served basis. To obtain one of these, applicants must send a self-addressed, stamped business-sized envelope to: Boyer Chute NWR, 3720 Rivers Way, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023. Identify the Jan. 10-11 muzzleloader deer hunt on the envelope. Applications will be accepted through Dec. 31, 2008.

Free-access permits and maps will be mailed to applicants. There will be a scouting day during the daylight hours of Jan. 4. Hunting will be allowed in designated areas in accordance with refuge and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission regulations.
