Tracy Tribble's death is now considered a homicide. Authorities released autopsy findings Friday afternoon and they say the cause of death was asphyxiation.

Ms. Tribble's body was found in the Missouri River approximately two weeks after she disappeared from her home in Council Bluffs.

Authorities say that her injuries are inconsistent with an accident. She suffered multiple blunt force injuries including at least three separate blows to the head.

Officials say Ms. Tribble apparently died between 10:45 p.m. on May 2 and the morning of May 3.

Investigators would like to talk to anyone who might have seen suspicious activity on any of the bridges crossing the river that night.
