Omaha Police are looking for two men who stole headlights from the Advanced Auto Parts store at 48th and L Streets. Officers already know what the two men are driving.

According to the police report two men walked into the Advanced Auto Parts store on Monday, October 27th, and asked for help finding headlights for their vehicles.

The clerk helped them find lights for a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer and a 2003 Chevy Impala, then turned to help another customer.

A short time later both men ran from the store.

Employees soon found two headlight boxes, each cut along the side, the headlights gone.

One of the clerks was able to give police a description of the get-away vehicle, a 1999 dark blue or black Mercury Mountaineer.

The lights cost $50 each.

Were these the standard or super brights? I will be sure to keep my eye out for either of these two vehicles, especially if they have TWO headlights.

Seriously? $100 worth of headlights stolen and it's worthy of it's own custom image? The store probably made up for this small loss with their ridiculously priced parts within the first 3 hours of business today.
