A decision by Ebay to cut 10 percent of its workforce is affecting Paypal workers in Nebraska. A Paypal spokeswoman says some employees will be let go, but did not specify how many.

Paypal's LaVista office opened in March of 2003. The company is owned by Ebay, which announced Monday it is laying off some 1,600 workers worldwide.

While some employees in LaVista are being let go, the Paypal spokeswoman said the company will continue to hire for other positions.
