The Nebraska State Patrol says slick roads from Thursday’s snowfall contributed to a crash that killed two Madison, Nebraska teenagers. The crash happened about 3pm on Highway 30 near Silver Creek.

The state patrol says 17-year old Trae Deeder lost control of his 2008 Dodge Avenger and slid sideways into a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup. Two passengers were killed. They are identified as 17-year old David Romero and 18-year old Juan Manuel.

Deeder is being treated for a head injury at a hospital in Columbus. Another passenger, 18-year old Juan Raynaga, was treated and released.

The driver of the pickup, 43-year old Luis Lasso of Columbus, was treated and released at a hospital in Central City.
