The wait continues for the possible identification of human remains found in Omaha's Hummel Park last Thursday night. As of Monday, police said there was no new information to report.
Investigators had been expecting DNA tests back Monday but police say those tests have taken longer than had been expected.
Meanwhile, the nervous waiting continues for the family of missing 12-year-old Amber Harris. Michael and Melissa Harris spent the day by the phone.
Melissa Harris says, "We are both tired; emotionally drained. But like we've said all along: hope and faith. And I know this is all focused on Amber but who knows who this could be. "
Amber disappeared after getting off of a school bus in November.
Police contacted the Harris family Monday evening telling them that they are still waiting for test results.
Michael and Melissa Harris were visited by family and friends Monday night, including Kelly Jolkowski, whose son Jason disappeared almost five-and-a-half years ago. Police have also talked to her about the remains and both families are anxious for any kind of news.
Michael Harris says, "It's scary. It's a lot of different things that come into place while at the same time trying to keep some hope that it's not, you know, so we can keep pressing and looking to see what happened that actual day, you know, why she's not here with us today."
Kelly Jolkowski says, "I do know what they're going through and I'm going through it as well, I guess. But I've been around the block."
Jason Jolkowski vanished in June of 2001.
