The Red Cross is helping an Omaha family find a place to stay after a fire on their back deck Saturday evening. No one was hurt.

The fire was reported around 6:40 p.m. at north 48th Avenue and Fort Street.

Most of the damage was to the deck, though there was smoke damage to the kitchen. Crews had to cut a hole in the roof to let the smoke out.
