Students headed to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln might want to consider an engineering major. The National Science Foundation has announced its donation of $600,000 to support 89 more engineering scholarships.

The program offers competitive scholarships and foreign study opportunities to low-income students. Those students will come from under-represented populations, rural communities and Nebraska's six community colleges.
