A teenager died in a traffic accident just outside of Auburn, Nebraska Wednesday night.

Investigators say a 16-year-old ran a stop sign on Highway 136 and crashed into a semi tractor-trailer. The front seat passenger, 15-year-old Austin Glathar, died at the hospital. He was just 10 days from his 16th birthday.

The 16-year-old driver and another teenage passenger were taken to a Lincoln hospital.

The semi driver was not hurt.
