Jeff Belmont of Ralston has been sentenced to 15 days in jail in connection with storing commercial-grade fireworks at his home. A teenager was injured by an explosive last July 4th as Mr. Belmont was hosting a party there.

In addition to jail time, Belmont was given a year of probation and 40 hours of community service.

Thirteen-year-old Josh Berger was critically injured while in Belmont's swimming pool last year when an explosive went off beside him. He spent 49 days in the hospital.

John Linderman is accused of lighting the firework that injured Josh.

Linderman admits he lit a firework but insists it wasn't the one that injured Berger.

Linderman faces a felony charge of Second-Degree Assault. No court date has been set yet in his case.

Investigators found more than 200 cases of explosives and commercial-grade fireworks in Belmont's basement while investigating the accident.
