Lottery officials verified Sunday that a Powerball ticket sold in Lincoln has the winning numbers for a $365 million prize, the largest lottery jackpot in the nation's history.

Only one winning ticket was sold for Saturday's jackpot, according to the Powerball Web site. No one had come forward to claim the jackpot early Sunday, Nebraska Lottery spokesman Brian Rockey said.

"We don't know if the winner knows yet," he said.

A U-Stop convenience store in Lincoln sold the winning ticket, Rockey said.

Store clerk Stacey Carey says, "If I sold the ticket to 'em I hope they'd share in the winnings -- at least, even one-tenth of a percent would suit me just fine."

Rockey says that lottery officials are waiting to hear from the winner and they're prepared to help the lucky ticket-holder gear up for a brand new future, "because when they walk out," Rockey says, "they're going to have a life changing experience -- $124.1 million. That's a life changer."

That $124.1 million figure would be the total winnings after taxes if the winner elects the cash option.

Odds Schmods
People waited in long lines for their last chance to buy tickets Saturday. The chances of winning the jackpot by matching all six numbers were one in 146.1 million but that didn't stop those hoping for the big win.

Casey Symonds of Omaha bought $25 worth of tickets for himself and four co-workers Friday, saying: ``I figure somebody is going to win it, so it might as well be me.''

Powerball is played in 28 states plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The winning numbers drawn Saturday night were 15-17-43-44-48-Powerball 29.

And, Oh By The Way...
According to the Nebraska Lottery Web site, there were also a couple of $10,000 winners sold in Nebraska for the Saturday Powerball game, including one sold in Omaha.

The winning 10-grand tickets were sold at the Hy-Vee at 5150 Center Street in Omaha and at a Pump & Pantry in Grand Island.
