It takes hundreds of man-hours to prepare for Friday night's 22 minute World Herald Fireworks show at Rosenblatt Stadium.

Dan Kaiser, with Fireworks by Grucci, is more specific.

He tells us the actual show time is, "Twenty-two minutes and one second."

The wiring and loading of the shells is the last step before lighting the sky.

Kaiser says, "We'll have everything pretty much buttoned up today so tomorrow all we'll have to do is put out some of our special effect boxes and that, and then do our continuity checks."

The last of the fireworks were loaded and placed right outside the stadium itself.

On Friday night, a canopy of light with a blanket of flash and sound will hover over the ballpark where thousands will spend 22 minutes and one second looking up.

For the past 24 years, the shows at Rosenblatt have gotten bigger and better.

Teresa Lopez says, "Every year, you look forward to the 4th of July."

Teresa and her family might have the best seats in town. They can watch the show from the hill next to Teresa's home and not fight the traffic or the crowds.

She says, "My kids live out west and they'll come about four, five-like tomorrow. They'll have a cookout and spend the day playing games or whatever they choose to do."

Dan Kaiser says this year's show will be a little faster paced than in years past and he says the finale should be spectacular. The sky lights up after Friday night's Omaha Royals game.
