2012 Was Second Warmest Year On Record In Omaha

Last year was the second warmest on record in Omaha, based on statistics compiled by the National Weather Service.

The average temperature in Omaha for 2012 of 55.8 degrees fell just shy of the record of 55.9 degrees set in 1931.

The year 2012 was officially the sixth warmest on record for Lincoln with an average temperature of 54.7 degrees.
