ABC Sports play-by-play man Brent Musburger has paid $144 rather than fight his citation from the City of Lincoln for drinking a beer in a vehicle after Husker football game.

The 66-year-old Musburger was cited on September 17th outside Memorial Stadium after calling the University of Nebraska game against Pittsburgh, which the Huskers won 7-6.

Lincoln police said Musburger was one of several people who were cited for similar alcohol offenses that Saturday.

According to records from the Lincoln city attorney's office, Musburger paid the $144 on October 20th rather than show up in court to contest the citation.

The $144 included $50 for the open container of alcohol, $50 for drinking from it and $44 in court costs.
