Authorities are trying to identify four men suspected of attacking two others early Wednesday morning.

The victims, identified as 40-year-old Ronald Marcus and 40-year-old Kenneth Williams, both of Omaha, told investigators they were walking at Park Avenue and Woolworth around 2:30 a.m. when the four men approached and began assaulting them.

Both victims, who were cut in the attack, were taken to the hospital. Marcus remains hospitalized with critical injuries, Williams was treated and released.

Officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area.

Now that you've figured those out, let's hear some plans to put these ideas into action! Hello? anybody there? Hello?

I live 5 blocks west of where this happened. More than often, you can hear the police helicopter circling around the area between Leavenworth to Ed Creighton, and 32nd Ave. and 480. The police are NOT looking for law abiding citizens.

To Patti: Let's hear your plan for getting the guns off the street, and your ideas for getting our priorities straight. The police aren't permitted to stop people and search them for guns, they can't raid people's houses for guns or drugs without reasonable cause, they can't stop suspicious drivers without getting reamed out by the communities, just what do you suggest they do? They do these things when they have probable cause, and are very cautious because they get verbally abused by the relatives and friends of the thugs. I'd like a fool-proof plan, too.
