Lincoln police have arrested a man suspected of attacking a 22-year-old woman with a knife as she lay in bed. Police say he is also suspected of kidnapping and raping a teen in March.

Oscar Gonzalez is being held without bond and was set to appear in court Tuesday. Police say he was arrested early Saturday morning when neighbors heard a woman screaming.

According to investigators, Gonzalez attacked the girlfriend of one of his acquaintances after the acquaintance left for work. The woman told police that Gonzalez came into the bedroom around 6:15 a.m. with a knife and he choked her. Neighbors came to her aid.

Police now suspect Gonzalez of forcing an 18-year-old girl into his vehicle in March, tying her up, driving her to a cornfield and raping her.

I suppose this poor misguided soul had been a victim of circumstances all of his life --- give him life in prison to think about it.

Sounds like a real sweetheart. I see many years in prison for this waste of space.
