The man accused of killing two Omaha sisters Christmas Eve will stand trial in Douglas County District Court. Fabian Hands waived his preliminary hearing on Tuesday.

Hands is accused of stabbing 36-year-old Saundra Brown and 48-year-old Renota Brown. Their bodies were found in the basement of a home at 4213 North 21st Street when police responded to a call there.

At his last hearing, prosecutors told the court Hands confessed to the killings. No trial date has been set.

He should have to sit in jail the rest of his life and be reminded of how he ripped this family apart. No punishment will fit his crime. My thoughts are with the family in their healing.

What? He confessed?? But when he was first arrested his family and friends just KNEW he was innocent and could never do something this heinous!! Hmmm....what a pickle.

If he confessed to the killings, this should be a short trial. Unless some hot shot lawyer working for the defense drags this on or finds a loop hole to let the scum of the earth slip through. I'm in favor of "fish fry fridays".....err wait. I guess we can't do that anymore. Too cruel for the killers. I guess we'll just slap them on the wrist, stay in jail forever, three hot meals a day, cable tv, workout, get an education, no taxes to pay.....while the victims family suffers a great loss. Ironic, pure and simple.

Renota was a wonderful woman. She made all of her friends light up and smile whenever she walked into a room where we all were at. There are a LOT of people in our group of friends that knew her and will miss her. Her memory will live on in all the people who's heart she touched. RIP my friend!
