Omaha police have arrested a 15-year-old boy for allegedly firing on a man. The incident was reported at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday in the area east of 27th and Laurel Avenue.
Police were called to the area after Shotspotter technology indicated multiple shots had been fired. Officers talked a 29-year-old man who said the boy shot at him while he was on his front porch. The victim, Brandin Schulze, was not hit.
Police found damage caused to a home and a vehicle in the area.
Officers located the boy with a gun nearby. He was booked into the Douglas County Youth Center for first-degree assault, possession of a stolen firearm, use of a weapon to commit a felony and two counts of destruction of property. His name is not yet available.
