Man Follows Distracted Woman and Then…

A Lincoln man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after he was seen following a woman down the sidewalk, holding a cell phone under her dress. Little did he realize that it was a plain clothes officer who was watching him.

The officer reports 32-year-old Joshua Love followed the 30-year-old woman who seemed to be unaware of his actions because she was talking on her cell phone in the area of 9th & H Street.

Additional officers were called to the area. Witnesses saw Love enter an unsecured door at Park Middle School. A perimeter was set up and the school was placed in lockdown.

Love eventually ran out the same door he entered. After a short foot pursuit, he was arrested just south of the school.

Thankfully, the school day had already ended earlier than usual so the school was not at full capacity. Several teachers and students were in the building but not harmed.

Love’s cell phone was taken for evidence. A court order will be required to examine if there are any inappropriate pictures or video.

He was booked for disturbing the peace, criminal trespass, failure to comply, and resisting arrest.
