Shooting Followed By Raid At Omaha Home

Monday morning was marked by gunfire in Omaha, but police believe they may have a lead on the suspect.

A man was shot just after 10 a.m. Monday near J.A. Creighton Boulevard and Parker Street. According to emergency dispatch reports, he was hit in the chest and leg.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. His name has not yet been released.

A short time later, officers raided a home near 36th and Pratt Streets; roughly two miles from the shooting scene. Police told Channel 6 News a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect's vehicle was parked at the Pratt Street address.

KFAB reports several people were taken out of the home, but so far, police have not released details about possible arrests.
