Six people were injured early Thursday following a police chase that ended in a crash in Omaha. Officers were attempting to stop a car around 1 a.m. when it sped away.

Police chased the car to Leavenworth and Saddle Creek where the driver of the car lost control and slammed head-on into another car. That car was then pushed into a third vehicle.

Occupants of the suspect vehicle ran from the scene but were captured after a brief foot chase.

The driver, identified as 39-year old Dwayne S. Marco, has a misdemeanor warrant for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and was driving on a suspended license. He was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with a laceration to the head and was admitted for observation.

Twenty-year-old Dana D. Budlong Jr., a passenger in the car, has a misdemeanor warrant out of Washington County. Budlong was taken to CUMC where he was treated for a laceration to the head and admitted for observation.

A second passenger, 20-year-old Joseph S. Rynkol, was treated and released from CUMC.

The driver of the second vehicle, 38-year-old Thomas A. Conway, is being treated for two fractures and is listed in serious but stable condition. Police say he was driving on a suspended license.

The passenger in Conway's car, 43-year-old Bobbie M. Moore, was transported to CUMC for treatment of a possible neck injury. She's listed in serious but stable condition.

The lone occupant of the third vehicle, 26-year-old Jeric S. Nelson, was not injured. Nelson was also driving on a suspended license.

Charges are pending in the case.
